This error message appears

only briefly after the pre-

ride check completes.

Possible cause:

The integral battery in the anti-

theft alarm has lost a significant

proportion of its original capa-

city. There is no assurance of

how long the anti-theft alarm can

remain operational if the motor-

cycle's battery is disconnected.

Seek the advice of a specialist

workshop, preferably an author-

ised BMW Motorrad dealer.

theft alarm has lost its entire ori-

ginal capacity. There is no assur-

ance that the anti-theft alarm will

be operational if the motorcycle's

battery is disconnected.

ised BMW Motorrad dealer.

Possible cause:

The drop switch has detected a

drop and has cut out the engine.

Bring the motorcycle to the

upright position

Switch the ignition off and

then on again or switch the kill

switch on and then off again.
