A robust docking system for making calls and charging

the phone, together with improved reception via an

external aerial. Suitable for current Apple, Nokia, Motorola

and Sony Ericsson mobiles. 

 additionally allows playback of music

󷒒les stored on the phone via the vehicle’s audio system

and is only in conjunction with option 6NF (Bluetooth

telephone audio connection). Suitable for current Apple,

Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson mobiles. Apple

iPhones do not need the additional iPod adapter cable.



For common Apple, Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson

mobiles, plus RIM BlackBerry

devices. Thanks to the

interchangeable, phone-speci󷒒c snap-in adapter, drivers

can make calls hands-free. When plugged in to the

system, the phone is automatically recharged. Operation

is via the iDrive Controller, multi-function steering wheel

or Voice Control. An external aerial ensures the best

possible reception at all times.

 

With 8.8-inch display, including BMW Professional

radio, on-board computer and expanded voice

control. GPS directs drivers swiftly and accur ately

to their destination. The system provides guidance

by voice instructions and route maps or directional

arrows. The splitscreen function enables information

from two sources – for example, the navigation

system and the radio menu – to be displayed at the

same time. The dynam ic route guidance system

suggests an alternative route when the radio receives

information on traf󷒒c congestion via TMC.

 

Enjoy all your favourite music on the road. The interface

connects the iPod™ directly to your vehicle’s audio

system: artist, song and genre information and playlists

can all be viewed on the control display, and music can be

selected using the iDrive Controller or the multi-function

steering wheel. The iPod™ is stored securely in the

glovebox, and the battery is charged during playback

through the vehicle’s electrical system.

 

Clearly shows the area behind the vehicle on the control

display. Interactive track lines show, for example, whether

or not a parking space is big enough for the vehicle. The

reversing camera is automatically activated when reverse

gear is engaged.

 

Allows the control display to be used as a television when

the vehicle is stationary. The system receives both

analogue and digital (DVB-T) terrestrial broadcasts.

 

Enables an iPod™ to be connected to the audio system

via the USB audio interface.

 

Allows the connection of an external audio device such

as a USB stick or MP3 player.

Plugs into the cigarette lighter. Electronic devices, such

as mobile phones, iPods™ and digital cameras, can be

charged easily via the built-in USB connection. Different

USB charging cables are available if required.

 

A lightweight headset that can be worn on either ear. A

Bluetooth connection to the mobile phone enables users

to talk on the phone safely and easily in the car, at home

and in the of󷒒ce. Excellent sound quality, battery life

of up to 󷒒ve hours, and ear buds in three different sizes

ensure it can be used anywhere and by anyone. Key

phone functions such as accepting and ending calls and

volume adjustment can be controlled via a button on the

headset. Can be worn in conjunction with glasses.

 

Up to date digital roadmaps enable the navigation

system to work out the best route in no time at all.
